Barracuda is the most advanced dive site in Cozumel. With its unpredictable currents, you should dive here only in small, experienced groups and with an operator that you feel extremely comfortable with. They should bring safety equipment on the dive.

Barracuda is the furthest most Northern dive site on the West coast of Cozumel. The current sweeps divers out and away from Cozumel making this a very advanced dive site as it comes with it a bit of extra risk that the other dive sites in Cozumel don't have.

The reef starts at 70 feet and you fly along at 4-6 knots going anywhere from 70-90 feet along the reef. Multiple surface marker buoys should be deployed early in the dive so the captain can follow on the surface.
