Paso del Cedral
A Cozumel favorite and located within the protected marine park. This can be done for either the first or second tank dive on a two-tank dive trip.
About Paso del Cedral
The mountains of cedral is a wild ride. Cedral is a favorite because you are highly likely to sea turtles, sharks and green morays. It is common to experience strong currents that will swiftly take you over hills covered with grass and soft corals. This reef is also known as the turtle gardens because you can expect to see a lot of turtles here. During eagle ray season they are common to see. At the end of the dive, a small cave on the reef hosts a green moray eel along with some splendid toadfish. If the current is active at the end of this dive, you can decide to swim towards the shallows of cedral or continue along the wall to see some of the most beautiful formations that Cozumel has to offer. Here you can see all of the residents of Cozumel, nurse sharks, lots of turtles, eagle rays, green moray eels, scorpion fish, juvenile drum fish, and splendid toadfish.
