San Clemente

San Clemente is a shallow dive site located within the protected marine park in Cozumel. Ideal as a second tank dive on a two tank dive trip.

About San Clemente

San Clemente is a beautiful and calm reef perfect for a second tank or to do your open water training, and this site comes to life during the night dives where you can see plenty of the unique residents coming to hunt. This place may not have the large formations that Palancar reef offers but don't let it fool you. You can find some fantastic small animals like the elusive two-spotted octopus as well as some turtles resting.

The lack of strong currents at this Cozumel dive site allows you to spend as long as you want admiring each of the animals you find. If you dive San Clemente, you can see nurse sharks, green and hawksbill turtles, small moray eels, some cleaner shrimps and an occasional eagle ray passing by.
