About Yucab

Yucab means honeycomb in Mayan and this is a beautiful dive site with plenty to see for all levels of divers. You start the dive in a sandy patch at around 40 feet and let the current take you North. Within the first few minutes, you have a chance to encounter plenty of lobsters, green moray eels and some nice coral formations. This place is very straight forward for new divers as the current pushes you in a straight line following the reef, but this is by no means a dive for only beginners as you can find lots of macro if your buoyancy allows it. It's common on this reef to see lots of lobsters, Splendid toadfish, Nurse sharks, Eagle rays, Moray eels, and small stuff like Pike blennys, Sailfin blenny, Pipefish, Pipehorse, and seahorses.
